Official Contest Rules

• Eligibility: Open to all K–8 students. Categories are judged in three age divisions:
  • Elementary School (Grades K–4)
  • Middle School (Grades 5–8)
• Theme: "The Great Halloween Kitty Parade" — Draw a Halloween Costume on the Cat.
• Artwork Requirements:
  • Must be original, hand-drawn artwork on 8.5" x 11" or 11" x 17" paper/canvas.
  • Acceptable media: Markers, colored pencils, crayons, acrylics, watercolors
  • AI creations will be disqualified
  • No copyrighted characters (e.g., Garfield, Cheshire Cat) allowed.
• Submission Deadline: Friday, October 9, 2026 by 5:00 PM.
• Prizes: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes awarded per division, including gift cards, art supply baskets and have their artwork displayed at our Hisses and Howls Halloween Party
